How to open RAR files ?

Recently I downloaded some interesting books from internet

Those has RAR file extension. How I can open those files?

Can I convert them to PDF easily ? Which software to use

rar is compressed format like zip.
you can use winrar (not free but trial available) or 7-zip (free open source).
