All fingerprints are sent to ottawa by CIC, your should be done by now call RCMP and they will let you know. Regarding 16yrs old having fingerprints as long name check fails to get the clearance CIC will send you letter for fingerprints

I called CIC today and they informed me that the background check is complete.
I will be receiving the letter indicating the test date soon.
So we await this letter. Hope it is soon.
