Cmon Very Upset,

Please do not feel bad or feel hurt. There are people who are trying to help you and they may be more just around the corner.

Dont turn back , else you would dilute the efforts of those whoa re trying to help you. And if you start feeling bad by what anyone says , trust me its going to be very difficult to survive.

Cheerup :) and join in back. Do let me know if either of the above options is workable in your country of living. If not we shall surely find other alternatives.

And Chandresh , would you be kind enough to give this guy the benefit of doubt as he does seem to be in hot waters. Sometimes encouraging or discouraging responses make all the difference.

That is a good decision I would say!

And if I were you (now it does not mean an advice - just telling what I would do), I would not get very upset if such a demand was sent to me from citizenship office - which infact I did get because one should get upset only if someone has done something wrong to one.

And if I were you, I would not use such a silly name as very upset because obviously if I continue to contribute to this forum, I would do it many times as not upset too and then it would not gel well with my posts.

And if I were you, I would never put my location as if I do not know it. It will only show the moderators that I am not serious about having a healthy discussion.

but then fortunately, I am not you!!

Chandresh

I am not waiting for you to approve my decision !

and second if my name is SILLY in your opinion which is my own choice, then think about the way you are talking to people .. I will NOT talk in the same crude way that you are still using with me , I am respected enough not to use such abusing langauge when talking .. as you are doing now.. what a great site you are moderating !!!!!!!!

And Fido , thank you and for all who tried to help !

Fido,

I do agree with you that sometimes encouraging or discouraging responses make all the difference.............it is not always an encouraging response which will bring out the best in someone. Sometimes a discouraging response might teach someone how to do things better!

Benefit of doubt?? Well he is definitely in hot waters if what has happened to him is true - but then when ever you do not plan things, things like this are bound to happen. You might not be perfect in planning everything accurately at all times, but whenever it is not planned, one has to face the consequences - may be once in a lifetime.

And do you approve of the way he has written his very first post in this forum? Not only does he choose a screen name which will stay there forever even when he is not upset, but he also writes he does not know his location and then wants others to help him in that location!!!!

For keeping up the quality of this forum, my personal opinion would be that such people should not be part of this forum. While I agree that people may not be net savvy, but there are certain attiquites in life which one should follow - SPECIALLY IF HE HIMSELF IS IN HOT WATERS AND NEED HELP/ ADVICE FROM OTHERS.

Chandresh,
We don't know the circumstances of 'Very upset' ..so stop being so judgemental. It's not a crime to apply for citizenship while studying abroad. So get off your high horse and contribute towards making this forum a place where desis can help each other.

goldie and Fido,

Your comments are very naive. I have seen Chandresh help several people in the forum. But I am not surprised when Chandresh makes such remarks about 'very upset'

'very upset' is (in my opinion) trying to something that is against law. And he is requesting people help him beat the system. He is hiding something.

Otherwise if he has his file in a proper way i.e. if he is complying with the rules, he would seek help from the Canadian Consulate and not from the forum.

What kind of guy asks for help without giving any proper details about himself?

I tend to disagree . I think its just a matter of perception .But while dealing with an unknown person we should try and keep our perception at bay and give him the benefit of doubt trying to help him .

Though I agree that the poster may not have filled in his details correctly but I also know a lot more posters on this site who continue to do so .

And I fail to see where we can find that something unlawful is being asked . We saw a post from Dubai a couple of days back and it got extended to 4 pages and all the rules and regulations were discussed in detail .Nobody banned that.

My only conern is that giving the person the benefit of doubt we should try and help him to the best of our knowledge , not ridicule him .

These are not personal comments . I have seen Chandresh has been very helpful but then so have been others . Thats the idea of this forum - isnt it ?

Regards

Hi,

I dont know whether you d return or not but I m sure you will read this :

If I were you , I would first check the Consulates , explain your situation to Canadian office by either fax / email and ask them for alternatives citing the country you are in .

They would advise tou upon the best course of action or grant you an exception if so is permissible. Remember the case of Saudi Arabia as far as PCC is concerned .

At the same time check some Government offices who would be willing to do so .Since you are still be a citizen of you native country , their consulate can also help.

When in a foreign country and in problem do not hesitate to visit your Consulate - they are the best people who would advise you ahead of any local office .

Regards,
