I was thinking if I could get any job aroud Detroit /Buffalo area so that I can commute from Canada.I have 2 years to qualify for citizenship.
Thank you for your replies.
Even if we get a full time job instead of consulting ,still would H1 be a issue?
I think even TN has some restrictions and you cannot apply for GC with TN.
Also which US borders one can commute other than Detroit and Buffalo.

If u are crossing the border or flying in, never reveal at the immigration that u are going for an job interview.. I dont think u will get a very favorable response especially if u have a canadian PR.
U should say u are going on a vacation, trade show, business meeting etc..
Assuming I go on visitor visa to attend interview and get the job and H1 gets approved. Then again I need to go for stamping at US consulate in Canada for H1.
If I go for H1 stamping within a month of visiting US on B2 visa, will that raise a flag.
I mean whether the visa officer will think that I visited US on B2 for job search.
Thank you
-- No problem or no flags raised. Good luck!
