Dear Friends,

Below is my details and I would like to know how well do I stand in my case for Canada immigration, how much time should I expect and what additional things I need to do in the forthcoming stage of immigration.

Age : 31
Nationality : Indian
Resident : UAE
Marital Status : Married
Qualification: Graduate from India. Major in Business Administration (Credential assessment done by WES-Canada)
IELTS - (Listening - 7, Reading 5.5, Writing 7, Speaking 7) Aggregate 6.5
Work Experience: 10 years (Major years of experience in Public telephone service around 8 years)
Spouse Age: 29
Nationality: India
Resident: UAE

All documents submitted through a renowned and very successful Immigration lawyer established for more than 10 years.
Immigration process started from within UAE. (File submitted in CHC London)

If I show funds enough for staying for 2 years with my wife w/o any job will that have any additional benefit?

I would like to do MBA from Canada, what all things I should be prepared for apart to the monetary part of that

As my wife is lawyer from India, what she needs to do for pursuing her career in law in Canada

It will be highly appreciated if you friends can answer to my queries above

Did you try the self assessment tool on the CIC web site

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/skilled/assess/index.html

As regards your wife, she'll have to contact the Federation of Law Societies of Canada, for her evaluation

Hi Mapledreams,
It is indeed very sad on our part, we always tend to underestimate our ownself with respect to people of western origin, it is not your fault, probably with everyone and that includes me too, when we apply we harbour that doubt whether we shall be accepted in our attempt to migrate.
The ground reality here is Canada needs people very badly and far more than the rate at which they are processing the applications.
Another fact, which is not understood by us from the other end is , it is actually their inefficiency in not being able to process the files and we take it as their standard or measure of checking the quality of imigrants.
With whatever brief background you have given for your self and your wife, there is no doubt about your suitability (I am not the expert on the issue), this is my opinion.
However , since you have just got your file no, it is still minimum 2-3 years before you can actually dream of landing here.
You are at the right forum , just follow this site very closely and on a regular basis, you shall learn a lot of important things you shall want to know about Canada.
I shall strongly advise you to not to uproot yourself before time, and in anticipation of migration. Think and think again and again, weigh your pros and con all by yourself, on the issue of migration.
Also br prepared to to do any jobs for initial survival , and to study further in order to qualify for Canadian market.
For your information, in my opinion any Indian educated from metro cities in India is more efficient in his work with compare to his canadian counterpart(This is my opinion)others on the forum may not agree.
Do contact me if you need any further info.

Hi Sude and Peacock,

Thanks for your feedback, which was worth indeed. Yes, I am prepared mentaly for the conditions which have learned from this site as well from couple of friends who are canadians. More opinion I get more clear picture I will have and shall be prepared for any situation no matter what comes in life irrespective of canada or anywhere else it be. I am expecting another 2 years as you said. So by that time shall save all I can so that struggling days of initial phase will not be too hard on me and my wife.

Peocock, I would be glad if you can let me know your email so can ask you more questions if you dont mind. You can write to me on as well.

Once again thanks a lot .

Expecting others point of view and advices as well.

Best Regards
Maple.
