If I apply from New Delhi, but am physically in Canada, is that an issue??

If I go with the processing timings: 1st stage will take 3 months and than processing in India will take another 2 months, and my visitor visa is valid until Aug end, so I should be still in good position; the only problem will be if it takes longer; than what???
