Please help in selecting between these two laptops

Hello,
I am debating between these two laptops. Any advice on the pros and cons of either will be greatly appreciated (apart from weight and cost).

Hi,

I just bought a new laptop from best buy and its from Toshiba. As per me, its a very good value for money as the config is,

Toshiba Satelite
INtel Core i3 processor (I am not too technical now but I think this one is above the core 2 duo)
4 GB RAM
500 GB Hard drive
17.1" monitor
Windows 7
etc

I got it @ $829 plus tax.

This was from the last week's floor items. I think its still available with them. I bought the last one at Heartland. You would get it any other location.

Its like voting for 'less corrupt' ...

Dell is, anyday, my lasy choice. And Acer don't even make it to my list. So between these two - I would go for Dell with atlease Intel Core 2 Duo.

Otherwise as VJ said - this Toshiba does sound good ... better than Dell n Acer

I think interms of after sales support Dell is much better than toshiba..

generally you wont find any issues with thoshiba. In worest case dell will be a better bet when it comes after sales support.

Can someone give their opinion about this Toshiba 15.6 laptop, 499? It seems like a good deal..
