DELIGHTED Lena and Dudley Bryce told of their joy last night after using an iPhone gadget to help give birth to a beautiful baby girl.
Desperate Lena downloaded the fertility application for her hi-tech mobile after struggling to conceive for four years.

And they were stunned when accountant Lena fell pregnant just two months later.

Tiny Lola was born on the EXACT day predicted last Friday - in what was thought to be the first British birth using the device.

Last night thrilled Lena, 30, said: \"Doctors couldn't find any reason why I hadn't been able to get pregnant.

\"We're young, fit and healthy and just expected everything would be fine, so it began to weigh a bit heavily on us.

\"We were considering IVF or adoption. But Dudley gave me the iPhone for my birthday and I downloaded the app.\"

The couple, from Kelvinside in Glasgow, used the Free Menstrual Calendar to predict the best time to try for a baby.

Lena put the date of her period on the calendar, which then predicts when she is at her most fertile each month.

It even suggests sexual positions that can help conception.

Ukraine-born Lena, who fell pregnant in April, gave birth to 6lb 12oz Lola at Glasgow's Southern General Hospital.

She said: \"Friday was the due date and first babies are often late. But Lola came exactly when the iPhone said she would - it's amazing. Now we have our gorgeous daughter we couldn't be happier.\"

Little Lena arrived the day after the engaged couple celebrated ten years together.


Bar manager Dudley, 31, added: \"I'm absolutely over the moon. It was hard seeing other people have children. We were desperate to be parents.


\"That phone was the best present I ever gave Lena.\"

Apple's iPhone allows users to download thousands of applications - known as apps.

Lena downloaded her free app from FertilityFriend.com.

The website's co-founder Dr Heather Bromberg, said: \"I'm delighted the couple conceived after trying for so long.

\"Timing intercourse during the woman's fertile time is usually the most important factor\"
