At the oath ceremony they would ask you for your PR card. Why would they want your Indian passport. Please check the letter you have received for your ceremony. Does it ask you for the PP ? Unless things have changed recently, you should be fine.

I remember during our oath all they wanted was our PR card card. Take the expired passport with you and show it if they ask for it. However rest assured, do not worry. The oath ceremony is the final formal step in you becoming a Canadian Citizen. Enjoy your day and let us know of the outcome.
On second thought, think about it this way. What option do you have in any case. Your oath ceremony is tomorrow and you cannot get your son's PP renewed overnight. So go with whatever you have and enjoy the moment.

First off, Congratulations !!
Don't worry. Just take the expired PP, and all other documents connected with your immigration.... just in case.
They'll just ask for the 'Pink' (or, is it yellow ?) invitation letter/s, PR card/s and landing document/s.
Don't forget to take a camera.
an update....
Thanks iceberg and despremi for ur quick response..
We finished our oath yesterday and they did not ask for the passport...
thank you once again

Congrats once again.
If you haven't applied for your Canadian PP, go ahead and apply.
No need to mention the travel date; no need to pay extra for the "urgent" or "express" service (unless you want it in 24 hours). Scarborough PPT office is sending the PPs in just one week ! (though it says 2 weeks on their web site).
