1.We need to bring over atleast 5 million of the people stuck in the Pakistan floods.
2.We can bring over the people who have lost their living due to oil disaster in Gulf Coast.
3.We could also bring over the mexicans whose lives have been affected by drug lords violence.
4.We could bring over the Kashmiri Pandits who have been driven out of their homes in Indian Kashmir.
5.We could also bring over more Afghani's who have been affected by the Taliban onslaught.
6.We could relocate all the Hyderabadi's who want to separate it from the Republic of India.
Canada is a continent and it has enough land and resources to support half of the worlds population.
We could relocate all the tamils from Srilanka and give them a better start in life in Canada and we could throw in a bonus of adding a few more tamils from Tamilnadu, India as freebies.
We could raise the HST to 15%, the Income Tax rate by another 2 to 3%, add another gas tax, garbage disposal tax to name a few to pay for the additional new Citizens of Canada.
Hey if you can spend a Million Dollars to do a public Inquest on Hazel McCallion when you and I know about her intent, why not pay to get people who will be tax paying and law abiding Citizens of Canada.
Lastly did the NATIVES have a chance with first boat loaders when they sought refuge in Canada ?.
Canada is a land of immigrants and we cannot pick and chose whom we want.

True. That's why there is a legal due process to allow close to quarter million people every year into the country including refugees, asylum seekers and such. The legal process does not discriminate. Infact, we don't even have a country quota like the US does. So, we are very much open to the people of the world.
No one is objecting to the origins of the people on the boat, it's the suspected method that these people have employed to enter the country that's irksome. I am sure there are few that are legitimate refugees and do need a place and out of them few might actually do something good for themselves in the long run. I just cannot believe that everyone of them is a legitimate case and that's where we open up ourselves to trouble.

The people who landed are tamil terrorists and their families. They are unwelcome burden on our support systems. Their ultimate destination will be Toronto and will land up and stay in Scarborough and Markham area. That will definitely impact all of us residing in GTA area. Killings, gunfights, drug fights will be the order of the day.

Stop generalizing if you are not sure about anything. Be happy, you didn't end up in the boat.
As many of you, I have the same concern that hooligans do not get into our country in the name refugees and spoil the streets. Our security intel is responsible to do their job in weeding out. But what if they are genuine, if there is room to accommodate, why won't the government accommodate the refugees on humanitarian ground.

I understand your anguish. I guess you are one of the member of the Canadian Tamil Congress and you are upset because people can understand your hidden agenda of reviving LTTE on Canadian soil. Please take note the day is not far when Canadian politicians will understand the threat and danger of welcoming Tamil terrorist refugees and make laws to prevent that. Tamil Elam is dead.

I am in no way in favor of the method employed to enter Canada by these so called refugees. On the other hand, there are very few facts about these people. Especially, when I see pictures of children, I have to wonder how much they are suffering due to the manipulations of the adults and potential terrorists on board. While potential LTTE and other frauds have to be weeded out from genuine refugees, the children can certainly be given another chance in this country regardless of who they were born to.
