This is not to beat up Canada and is based on my seeing the facts happen to my close friends.
1. 1 person contacted E-coli. The doctors overlooked the E-coli in the urine test and said take Tylenol. The person was on the death bed 3 days later and was rushed to emergency. They saw the report again and gave anti-biotics for E-coli. Say for example that you visit Toronto General hospital for the test and they give you a Ok signal that nothing is wrong, can you go back and say check again? They will kick you out.
atleast in India, you can have multiple opinions for Rs.50 a visit and buy anti biotics over the counter.
2. 1 person had running nose/ cold / cough for 1 month. After 3 days visited walk in's. All recommened tynelol and when the person asked for anti biotics was seen sarcastically (since the person suffering was visible minority. Most doctors think that these people are refugges and that they came in a boat to take the benefits reserved for the Gora man). It took a month and a desi doctor to finally say that this will lead to pnemonia and was prescribed antibiotics. The cold left in 3 days after that.
So everywhere problems are the same. we have bedbugs here too (despite the cold). But solutions are better in India. That is why we are 1100 million (Canada's population 34 million)
Peace

Doctors here don't know anything beyond 'Tynelol'. They just sit in the clinics and pretend that they are too busy.

See, you solved your own mystery ... now you know why you are not software engineer

So, it's not all bad, eh?
