Why aren't u looking to move to australia or back to gulf..

I know gulf is booming now with oil prices back to near 90 levels..

The world economy has changed shape where basically one has to move where the job is instead of waiting for miracles to happen, miracles happen for only a few in canada...

Every field (I donot know about IT specifically).
Australia is a country where I have known almost all desi's who settled in the country after 2002 to have all got decent jobs in their own field.
I recently came to know that Australian market is soley based on their export to China (as our is to USA) and china has been on a roll since the 2000.
Also Australia is a country of 20 million people with people having a distinctively laid back life. They donot encourgae refugees. They have a better year around climate than Canada and lots of minerals.
Just for example, I know a ITI draftswoman who is now the planner of railway lines. They just had lots of job openings and not enough people to fill in. Besides the climate is so great/
Peace

I COMPLETELY agree with TK. Of all the people, friends, relatives I know who immigrated Australia are so well settled, and never could recall a moment when they complained about not getting work due to their color and lack of Aussie experience (heck, they don't even know what does it mean). Not even settled, they are successful from the day one when immigrated. So, they are not racist as the media tells us otherwise.

Ever heard about Australian Experience, but I bet on the Canadian Experience. It's just that racism has many facets, and Canada is no different - although invisible.

try it. Walk into an Aussie bar and let us know if you feel comfortable. If so, let's all go.

I do not have first hand experience. However going with the experiences of Indian cricket team since days of Ian Chappell, the recent attack on Indian students, and the continuous India bashing by Aus-NZ media/athletes, it is very difficult to accept the fact that Aussies are not racist and it is just a stereotyping.

The racism in finding work may not be that apparent because of purely economic reason. They need somebody to do the job.

It would be interesting to see the reaction, should Indians get attacked/mugged in Toronto subway just for carrying an iPod.

I have vowed never to visit Australia.

One black guy calls another black guy the N word it is not racist.. White guy says N word it is racism..

Tunisian born Australian player refuses to shake hands , australians get labelled racist..

Australian broadcaster makes fun of someones last name , racism which at worst bad jokes..

something is wrong.. We indians are equally racist..

So lets fix ourselves before passing these transgressions as racism ...

Lest we will become a racist superpower..

Hassene Fkiri had a straight-up meltdown during his gold-medal match. He lost. And then he lost it. And after giving officials the finger and refusing to shake his opponent’s hand, he lost the silver medal through disqualification.
“The dipsh-t woman. God, what's her name? D---s---t? Is it D---s--t ... it looks like D---s--t,” Henry says, guffawing

Interesting details from the star.
As an immigrant, I knew that locals thought very poorly of us, though many would not say it on the face. Most think that we come from a land of snakes, live in huts and have never seen a dentist, doctor or a computer.
From the article, I have to agree that most of Australians and NZ's are racist. Otherwise, how dare they would come to our country (India) for the games and then insult us.
Personally in Canada, I have not been insulted this much but then it may be different situation for the rest of us. I know that Australia boast of very good employment for Desi's in contrast with Canada where most struggle. Maybe Canadians are less racist and we are compensated by lack of jobs.

Peace

Aussies will continue insulting Indians- till we have some opportunist folks with inferiority complex filled with self hatred.:D

So looks like Indians have no choice right now except tolerating this non sense.

Indian need to become Super Power ASAP- then mouth of these racists will be closed automatically:clap:
