"J & K not part of India" - Thus spake Arundhati Roy

Keeping the discussion on name calling aside, this has opened up a very good discussion on sedition or democracry(freedom of speech) question.
There are 4 interlocutors appointed by the GOI who are already there and they have said that we need to involve Pakistan in this dialogue as Pakistan has been sponsoring terrorism and sending terrorist over and also funding these Jihadese in J&K.
After the speech of Arundhati Roy the whole equation has changed and now the debate is whether India can be charged for sedition or whether Arundhati Roy an individual whose freedom of speech has to be protected.
The government is still mulling whether they can charge Gilani and Arundhati Roy as we discuss this issue.
MY VERDICT ON THIS ISSUE:
Whether our CD's like it or NOT , the Azaad Kashmir(Indian Kashmir) is gone from India and already under the control of Pakistan and eventually it will be the under the control of China.
The very same will happen to all the border states like Arunachal Pradesh, Sikkim, Mizoram which eventually land under Chinese control.
We already have Tamilnadu which already has a thriving underground movement for an independant country called Tamil Eezham encompassing Tamilnadu - Northern parts of Srilanka. The Srilankan President Mr.Rajapakshe gave a fitting answer to all those asking for freedom.
The lesson in all this is that may be India as a Republic is never intended to be a singular nation but more like a European Union.
May be in the next 50 years move towards a European Union model than a singular nation with the help of our current rulers.
May be it is time to split Gujarat into 3 parts of Rajkot/Bhavanagar as Saurasthra; central Gujarat and Northern Gujarat.

Just hot off the 24X7 show by Barkha Dutt on the same issue that Arundhati Roy cannot be charged under Sedition and can be protected by Freedom Of Speech as per Raju Ramchandran, ex- solicitor General of India.

Why do you want to split Gujarat in 3 parts? Any reason for that?
I wholly agree with you that China would occupy much of the territory ceded by India. I have many a times pointed out that MMS has no love or respect for India. He is merely a tenant watching all Tamasha. Like wise Sonia or Rahul have amassed so much of wealth that they do not care. When bad time comes, they would flee to western country like Imelda Marcos. The real reason is lack of political , cultural and intellectual awareness amongst so called Indian middle class people who are educated. Their intellectual curiosity is confined to what NDTV, The Hindu and TOI dishes out. I have visited India many a times and when I interact with University students, I feel aghast. Their interest is confined to Bollywood, latest gadgets , fashion and Cricket. I remember in my college days I was Marxist and used to follow quite a lot of material on Marxism available in college library. I admit that I was totally wrong in following that kind of garbage but at least I and many of my friends had that passion and desire to follow some socio political and economic philosophy. Unfortunately, in India now the young generation is neither equipped nor willing to work hard, study beyond syllabus or participate in political movements. The result is so obvious that anti social elements from all the parties get in to power. Chinas domination has been accepted meekly by political class. I understand that China is much more powerful today but then China would also like to avoid armed confrontation as that would directly impact its economy for which they care more than anything else. However, Kangress which is totally anti India and anti Hindu does not want to act. Further , educated people are so inactive and uninterested that Arundhati, Teesta and NDTV kind of people get away with nonsense logic and arguments.
As regards the problem of Kashmir, Kangress is trying to please Muslims in India by avoiding to take harsh steps (this is going on for last decade). All that is required to solve the problem is to allow people from North India to settle in Kashmir, if necessary , by giving them money/subsidy. There is no need to give ownership of land at this stage. However, it requires political will which MMS and Sonia lacks.
Some of us would very much like to contradict our VM's statement that India is not one country but should be something like EU. China is also made up of of ancient kingdoms. They have encroached Tibet, destroyed Bhuddhism and driven out Dalai Lama and 1000s of his followers. They have colonised Tibet with settlers from China. We haven't done anything like that to Kashmir, but still have people like Roy crying hoarse. We have given special provisions under Article 370, that none from other parts of India can settle down in Kashmir. Even during times of Adhi Sankara (7th century A.D.), when he had visited Kashmir from his birth place in Kerala we can say Kashmir was part of India. There are 100s of places on which Lord Ram had set foot and still venerated in South India. Similarly in Mahabharatha, it is mentioned that Arjuna went for pilgrimmage and had holy dip in rivers like Godhavari, Kaveri etc. Culturally we are one. People who dislike India, dislike Hinduism. The converse is also true, and hangs like millstone around neck of A.Roy preventing her to think correctly.
While the case of Pakistan or Bangladesh itself is dubious and are myth, it is ridiculous that these people say Kashmir is not part of India. Prior to 1947, led by some greedy political leaders, certain sections of our of population, out of hatred killed their own brethern and as criminals leaving the crime scene in haste, left without knowing where they are heading for. While one section ran for the attic called Pakistan, the other ran for the lurch which is now called Bangladesh. After this break up, India still recouped and came back to good health. During the last 60 years, even under consistent harassment from our so called neighbours, we have had great celebrations in our house like the success of Tatas, Birlas, Ambanis, Infosys, Wipro and their likes. Our so called neigbhbours, do not have any single such achievement (but for thieving from developed countries to build nuclear arsenals). Nothing prevents them from joining the party in the main house. If at all anything it is their own hatred, guilt, jealousy and greed. If only they can stop peeping into their own house with all these negative emotions, but realise that their grand parents made a mistake and that they were wrong, they can also join the party. And the whole of sub-continent can live happy ever after.

Unlike you, the educated people realize that J&K will not cease to be part of India if Arundati Roy says so .... Perhaps you are not aware of Indian history for last 60 years .... number of people have come and gone who have claimed one part or other as seperate from India. Remember Jagajit Singh Chaouhan .... he formed the Khalistan government in exile, printed currency etc etc ... in the end he "requested"governemnt of India to let him die in peace in Punjab.

Great .... are these the same "people of North India"who had to be sheltered in camps (outside Punjab) during the militancy in Punjab !!!!
Is Arundhati Roy is so important? Or is she a decision maker for J&K? Is she representing whole of India? The answer for the three qns is a big NO. May be she wanted some attention for that moment. Bringing sedition charges on her by GOI is such a waste of time and tax payers money. Nothing will change if she or other attention seekers say abt J&K. And we CDs are fighting on this forum.
