Dear all,
We want to go to Dubai beginning of next month for couple of days. Those who lived there, it too hot now? Please suggest good veg eatouts. We just want to see the Burj Khalifa, have some fun in desrt safari and some shopping. Looking at Admiral plaza hotel as it is close to Meena bazaar, as I am told.
Any suggestions?
Came to know late that Canadian passport holders need visa for Dubai as of 2011.
Thx

I know there will be information following up in this thread but here are my inputs .
April may be bearable .
4 days / 96 hour visa is recommended .
Admiral Plaza is an excellent choice .. They have a sumptuous breakfast and are ideally located with in walking distance to Meena Bazaar and the like .. Booking online gets you a better deal .
You should be easily able to get good veg eat outs with in walking distance ..
Plan your trip so as to cover in 4 days.
Burj Al Khalifa perhaps needs to be booked in advance so try doing that online . I found Dubai Mall & the musical / light fountains to be better .
I would certainly recommend half a day for Jumeirah Beach .
If its hot take a cab and ask him to show you around from Jumeirah to Deira to Bur Dubai ...It would be quite inexpensive especialy if you are more than 2 people ...
Plan out an iternary after googling for attractions to Dubai on various sites .
Don't miss out on Gold souq in Deira ..
Book for dune bashing either online or through the Hotel.
Take a boat trip on the Dubai creek.
Visit some snazzy malls ...Al Wafi , Mercato , Dubai Mall , City Center and the like.
Taxis are organized , inexpensive and convenient . Use them readly .

The visa regulations are relaxed, I don't know the timeline, call the UAE consulate..

I spoke with them too.
Which airline you're flying. If Emirates / Etihad, they could arrange some what cheaper. Also check if there is visa on arrival option available.

I just called them and they say they don't know when new visa regulations will be implemeted. I am planning to go to Dubai in early May so not sure what to do. I will be entering twice to Dubai and multiple entry visa fees is $660 (Wow its really expensive).
