An "unlimited" plan that is 'limited' - looks like they have their own dictionary :(

check out acanac.ca

I used them for VOIP phone. Around $10/month. Unlimited North America calling.

Vonage is around $30/month, with free calling to India!

by the way why do you need to spend $50 for config file for freephonelink. Why not just get it from some guy or search the web.

I did not add the electricity bill. True.

Check this out

http://www.laptopmag.com/review/voip/nettalk-duo.aspx

it doesn't require a computer to be on.

I did the math:

Magicjack
- $70USD for 5 years of service works out to $86.73CD for 5 Years.
- Round $86.73CDN to $90CDN and then divide it by 5 Years.
Works out to $18/year then divide it by 12 months.
- Monthly cost for magicjack is equal to $1.50CDN.

Still cheaper then freephoneline.ca
$3.95/month for unlimited anywhere canada
$13.95/month for unlimited canada and USD long distance (also other cities around the world)

Conclusion: Magicjack is cheaper for calling anywhere in Canada and USA.

Depends on your need. You can call only the cities in Canada listed on freephoneline.ca's website for free. For others, you have to buy calling credit.

If you make frequent phone calls to US, then Magicjack would be better.

wow! You forgot to add electricity bill for using laptop/computer with magic jack :)
