We are moving to Canada around October this year with our daughter who will be around 7 months then. I would like to know about the medical system there... what is the emergency system there (equivalent to 911 in U.S.)? Also I am concerned about the system in case of road blockages due to extreme weather conditions.
Yes we use 911 in Canada for emergencies. Once you call 911 they normally dispatch an ambulance and fire department paramedics simultaneously. As all communities have their own fire station so it takes only 3-5 min. for them to reach the location, they take care of the situation till ambulance arrives there.
During extreme weather conditions response time can be bit longer but they always try their level best to be at the scene ASAP.
Thanks and regards.
