Get a note from the Police and Insurance Cos. that you have had a clean driving record for the number of years you have been driving ...
This will help you in Insurance here ..

Fido.
In order to prove the number of years you have been driving, you need to bring any driving related documents you can bring.
1. First Old expired licence if available and current valid licence.
2. Number of years insured by so and so insurance co. (letter from insurance)
3. Insurance policy copies (new and old any available)
4. Driving record cert. from ministry of transportation or police
5. Motor vehicle ownership copies if you were owner of any vehicles.
Beside that check with your ministry of transportation and request to make your licence valid for International Driving so you can use your lic here untill you get your G2 or G in Ontario. (Ministry will make you stamp and endorsment to use the lic internationally if you have valid lic with clean record) It will be great option for you.

Nice to see that the topic is branching but i still have to get more feedback especially
if i am getting guelph's date after a month what other centre would be better. Oakville and Ebticoke (pardon my spell, i'm still brushing on my canuck tongue twisters)
Is it ok If i apply for G2 and then go for G after a couple of months. I saw that someone said that if you are experienced enough then go for G. But remember even my uncle who has been driving for a good 25 years was given the red card. So it all boils down to luck too.
Whether the insurance waiver (after doing 20hrs in class) help me would be the question.
Thanks Guys for your answers for the license requirements. I shall try for them although list is big and system here is long and filled up with un certain procedures.
And an apologie of not putting the question in new thread.
Regards
Abdul Mannan
Guess what...I passed my G2 at guelph...and i can vouch easily that this is one of the best centres ( i saw almost 94% of the G and G2 test drivers pass) and these are steps i undertook....
researched and found one of the better known instructors who actually knows the test routes and has a good passing percentage of students ....
you won't imagine even a horrible driver passed so yeah a good instructor makes a difference.
check the rail way and be careful about the lanes closing once the intersection ends and always watch your speed.
Now i shall go for my G within some days but to conclude i needed to have the driving licence and hence i was not willing to lose out on any chances that would have been limited and time consuming had I gone for G and failed by chance.
I hope to assist anyone who might have any queries from now as on as i have picked up quite some tips and guidelines.
Thanks.
Well done!
Enjoy and drive safe.
