Signing up with one realtor ...what does that mean ?

Hey folks,

I have a question Since I have ercently stated home hunting !
I have approached a realor and have been asked to sign a buyer agreement with him.

What does this mean ? Am I bound to him in any legal way ? what if I buy a home from a friend or decide to finally go with another agent ...if I am not happy or satisfied with the service ?

It is quite common , but in the recent times , with so many Realtors around, they don't ask for it. I recently bought a house and 2 Realtors were showing me houses and I bought from one .

Realtors are desperate for business and if they insist on signing the agreement , do the wisest thing - Just move on to the next one who doesn't force you to sign a contract with him.
