We just bought our 1st house.We dealt with only one realtor (Remax).Everything happened so fast that we did'nt get a chance to survey much.I told my realtor that I want home depot vouchers from u when we were about to sign the papers and said ofcourse!The next day he called me to thank me for choosing him....I reminded him of vouchers....he said, which vouchers.I thought u were joking.
I know we did big mistake by not talking clearly and taking in writing from him before hand.
Today I called another realtor and asked if i choose u what do I get.She offered me $2000!!!
Is there anything I can do now??????or its too late!!!!!!

Doesn’t look like you can do much now. Essence of having realtor is to find a place which you can call home which you already found. So enjoy your new home and ‘forgive quickly (from your sign
)’ Situation you described is really tricky. Talking quickly about voucher at the time of signing may result in misunderstanding. So I’d give him benefit of doubt. Also, such expectation should be discussed before you start working with the realtor.
Imagine if at the time of signing instead of ‘of course’ he had told you ‘sorry – this is not how I work’, wouldn’t you sign the deal? May be this will help you in overlooking this incident. All the best.

If I understand this correct, this realtor (second one) would offer you $2000 if you bought a house through her.

When my realtor refused to give me anything, I called another remax agent to find out if others offer something to the buyers.I did not tell her that I already bought a house as I just wanted info.She offered me $2000 if I buy house thru her.
I m not blaming my realtor completely as I know he is a salesman and he wud like to have the max profit he can make.We should have clarified terms in advance.He was recommended thru a friend so just talked casually.But the day after we signed the papers his way of talking changed which put me OFF more than loosing $2000 .

You never lost that 2K. Actually, you didn't got back that 2K that you didn't over paid him. Usually their pay comes from their commission. If that agent says he/she will pay you something, usually it's from your own money. Same is true for mortgages.
