Dear CD's,
I received a parking ticket from "Provincial Parking Enforcement Corporation" which is a private firm i believe appointed by the property management of my appartment.
Actually i have parking permit which sticked on my car's windshield. But i forgot to park in my designated place and left in visitors parking. I was under the assumption that the unauthorized vechicles parked in visitors parking without a proper permit will get the ticket... it looks even the tenants who has permits also gets ticket by parking in visitors parking.
Anyway, i would like to enquire fello CD's openion or experiences in this regard. Failure to pay the fine will hit the credit history? i am sure it does not reflect on your DMV record as its not city's ticket under provincial offense act..
any idea's

Parking ticket will have no impact on your driving history / insurance. If you donot pay up, you may be sent a collection notice.
If it is small sum 20-30$, it may be wise to pay it up and put this as a learning experience. In Canada esp. immigrants have a poor chance of escaping for failure to abide by rules.
Peace to all

It might go to the debt collecting agency who might try and harass you by sending mails / phone calls ..... But beyond that they cannot make it affect your credit rating ....
Provincial offense is out of question .

I received a ticket for parking in my visitor's lot. But its from city of Mississauga. Not a private one. Your property management should have a contract with the private parking enforcement agency. Is there a clause in your rental agreement for parking violations? 40$ may not worth taking collection agency calls or spending a day in court.
On a side note, My negligence caused me to pay more parking tickets. I remember two tickets from downtown Toronto and Byward market, Ottawa. In downtown the sign says no parking after 10PM. We are at my friend's house for dinner. When i realized its 10PM, I left in a hurry and reached my car by 10:05 only to see a 40$ ticket on my windshield. My effort got wasted. Instead I would have stayed back and enjoy my time. The other one in byward market. Sign says parking free after 5:30PM. I reached there by 5:25PM. Its just 5 min to free parking so i didn't mind paying for parking. Went inside market and realized its closing time. Returned within 5 min and Voila.. 35$ thankyou note this time. Lucky sometimes. Went to Caribana festival. Didn't get parking in Kipling and Islington subway stations. Drove all the way to Dufferin and parking lots are full. Finally parked car on a residential street expecting ticket. No ticket this time

the fine is $40 if i pay in 5 days if not $60. But the question is do they bother to hit my credit history for this amount or not. I am sure being in financial industry, it will cost them to report to Equifax or transunion. But i am not sure for this do they go and report to these beaure's or not.
I am not afraid or worried about debt collections calls/visits as i know the rights.. but only concerned about hitting my credit history for this small amount.
I would have paid if i parked in other building or outside.. but i could not digest being ticket in my own building where i live with a permit.. parking in visitors lot.
I am not sure about the below link, should i follow them and ignore or just pay

once again.. this is not a real agency.. this is a private agency sounding like provincial offense...
any inputs...

Don't pay, I had few of the similar ones and never paid any of them..
I had one from "Municipal Parking Corporation (MPC)" and another from "Impark Canada (Imperial Parking)"..
The MPC one is never reflected (credit history, Driving record etc..etc.), its been more than 2 years now..
The Impark one I had at Scarborough Town Center..This was sent to collection agency and the collection agency sent me couple of invoices to pay the $ 75 parking ticket.. (ridiculous amount for a parking ticket), they never called, I never paid, not sure if this will show up in my equifax or not as I have not pulled up my report for this year. I have a confidence that this will not show up on my equifax though..
I am sure the ticket you have does not have an option to go for a tiral (fight in the court)...
By law, we must have an option to fight the ticket.. We are innocent untill proven guilty.. Every city tickets or provincial tickets have an optoin to go for a tiral...
