What is the best way to get our PR cards from Canada...we r in Dubai currently and are not so sure if having them mailed will be safe enough....

Courier using facilitate traceable methods.
UPS or Fedex.
Please donot use Canada post or Puralator. Most of the time they end up missing stuff.
Another method is to ask your friends to drop of them off personally to you in Dubai. A lot of people working in Dubai are citizens of this great country and do frequent travel.
It is no big deal. I hope that some one in Canada has already collected these cards for you.
PR cards will not be mailed by the Govt. of Canada to an outside Canada address.

You said never use Canada Post, is it because it is not that reliable. Actually my PR cards are also stuck with Canada Post. I am a new immigrant landed on Nov28, 2013. I was told by CIC that my PR cards were processed and handed over to CP on Jan23 that I never received. There is nothing wrong with the address as rest of my documents came on the same address without any delays. Please share if someone has encountered such a situation ! Is there anyway I can check with CP about my never delivered PR cards. What options do I have now! Please note that I am out of Canada right now. Thanks

Dear Tamil, I will do as you said, but avoiding CP is not in my hand, it's CIC who hands over our PR cards after processing to CP only. Surprisingly only after coming on this forum I have known that Cp is not that regular otherwise I had an impression that CP is quite prompt and doesn't take more that 5 days for a local post to deliver.

It may be 1 in a 10K case but then it has affected you. That is the troubling part.
