Let me know that if I was temporary replacement for a girl on maternity leave and if i worked in the company for a year and half - am I eligible for EI after my contract ends here? I am pregnant so will it affect my EI application or EI payment duration.

If you have been on a contract type where your EI premiums were deducted on your paycheques, then yes you are eligible for EI when your contract ends. I would suggest don't apply for EI parental benefits, but normal EI when your contract ends. Once you run out of normal EI, apply for Parental EI.
I hope I am not being mistaken for an EI expert on this forum. I myself have applied for EI only once in Canada but got a job before the EI kicked in...
If I were you I would also call the EI dept and get first hand info.
