Hi ladies and gents.
I am wondering if anybody can help me. I had submitted my citizenship application in July of 2012. Since then I had not heard any more from CIC other than the initial acknowledgement letter. My question is, am I allowed to travel outside of Canada while I await a decision on my application. Is there a limit on how long I am allowed to be outside of Canada without jeopardizing my application.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Many thanks in advance
Yes, you may travel abroad while your citizenship is in process.
Citizenship eligibility is based on past physical presence, not future.
Of course, don't stay out so long that you lose PR status in the meantime ;o)
