Thank's Gurram for mentioning me.
I had to leave due to personal reason's (me not doing well professionally in Canada might have been a catalyst).
I left in March 2012. I was trying for jobs since 2005 in Gulf and India but did not even get one job interview call.
The day I decided to go back to India, I get a call at midnight from Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. I was offered a dream salary and I took it without negotiating. The next day I got a job offer. However my bad luck was that since I held a Canadian passport, I waited for 4 months and still could not the visa (as I had to do multiple formalities, like degree evaluation, experience evaluation etc..). At the end of the 4th month when my visa was to be sent for stamping, I got an offer from India with an Indian dream salary. I took it and in a week, I was off to India.
I had and am still having a very good time in India. No heavy work. Trips to all over India on flight and stay at decent hotels (I am eligible for 5 * hotel stay , but as a true Ghandian/ Dravidian) stay in 2 * hotels. I am eligible for Air conditioned cat but use Ac/ Non AC bus or auto.
But now, Indian GDP is down. JObs have also become less. Rupee is at 61 to a $. My job is secure but we have stopped hiring. In 2012, We could not find an Architect / Civil engr. to work at USD 4000 a month. I hear from my friends that getting a job is hard (relatively and canot be compated to the $hit one has to go through to get a job).
Peace by Murali

The best approach is "Get on to networking". The more you are connected the more chances you have for getting a breakthrough.
There's nothing to loose. Every immigrant is (or was) in the same boat as you are. So there's nothing to be ashamed of. Get going.
Take whatever is available. Just to make sure, you don't deplete your savings.
Thats not a good situation to be in.
Maybe work on some kind of short-term licensing - in a high demand profession. Like
1. Home & Auto insurance,
2. Para legal - these guys contest traffic tickets. Lot of people hire them to defend their tickets.
I am not sure, what's your profession. But end of the day, just because you did studies in a particular profession, doesn't mean you are married to the profession. Look for probably changing your profession. (or whatever is required).
And - if nothing works out (not impossible), them move back to India. You can still have a good life with very reasonable amount of money. A major problem within Canada for new immigrants with family, is the higher cost of living as compared to wage structure (specially in survival jobs).

dhaikin, You are absolutely right, trust me had I known this situation before applying for Canadian immigration I would have chosen other country over Canada, anyway I am going to give 200% on my job search efforts in Canada till the end of this year.
I have the credentials that made me successful in India and I am hoping to get breakthrough here sooner.
Anyway I signed the petition on change.org and numbers are growing on this petition as I noticed so collectively we should support it. If the numbers keep growing at a rapid pace in this petition it may become a solid testimony to what new immigrants are facing and then government will have to step in for sure. Numbers are important to make an impact and put pressure on the government. Just like we did it in India to fight against young girl was ganged raped in the bus and millions signed up at change.org and many demonstrated on the streets and in the end Indian government had to listen to the voice of the people.
We should not get engage in to discussion who had started this petition, we should view it as, is that petition important to new immigrant or not? I think it is.....

Just for curiosity, what was your benchmark for defining success.
And what is it that you were missing, when you decided to move out of India.
I mean what exactly are you trying to achieve?
I know its a bit personal, you can PM me if you don't want to share publicly..

It may be going back or investing on a training/license or investing in a business they can do or increase the efforts to secure a job a that suits them.
COULD NOT AGREE MORE !!!!
