The Ontario Human Rights Commission (OHRC) declaring the "Canadian Experience" practice for hiring as illegal is a step forward to change the mindset of employers, still a long way to go for employers to be open minded about the world experience and adopting it to their workforce. However OHRC decision will now open debate in the corporate board rooms to develop policies which are equatable for every one regardless of the candidates experience comes from where, it should be relevant experience and open to new learning possibilities.

Good news to share that so far 1000 + plus new immigrants had signed the petition against “Canadian Experience” a systemic unfair employment barrier to new comers. This petition is growing fast by the hour with new signatures, If you have not yet signed the petition, I will encourage you strongly to sign the petition below is the link to add your voice to the growing movement against the systemic unfair economic barriers of new immigrants to Canada.
