i am planning to take my car with me from canada to india in holidays.
can anyone tell me whether that can be done or not.
and how i can do that.

You can always do it, it all depends on..
1. Air lift the car over atlantic ocean (or via ship)
2. Drive down via Europe through Turkey into Asia &
3. There-after, you will be welcomed by the jihadists in Syria & if you get through that then welcome to Afghanistan.
Once you are there.. just follow your guts India is just close by..

"You" can do that, there is no "we". Boy, you must love your car to drive it in India that too just during holidays (or hate it?).

.You cannot drive the car in India as it will get confiscated at customs..unless you are planning to by-pass customs.
