Can someone share a quick review of these apartments in Mississauga. Any pros n cons. I have got one apt in this area and have almost all the amenities on walkable distance. Only my eldest son has to take TTC for going to school which also is available on few steps away from the apartment.
Thanks
Dude:
What kind of person are you?
You call Paisly blvd. apartments great apartments (from your previous posts). These are very bad and unsafe apartments. Lot of blacks are there and it is not safe to leave you wife alone there. I have heard of lot of Desi's house broken into and jewels stolen.
I think there is a condo is Paisly Blvd. E, but I donot think that you are talking about that.
As others have said, please settled in Webb drive (near square 1). School is also nice and the crowd is better. 2 Bed condo's will be around $ 1800 a month or so there (We paid $ 1500 in 2011)

TK I have to move according to my budget, being a new immigrant with somewhat budget constraints I can not afford to live in Webb Dr. So finally I chose something that seems to be meeting all of my requirements. It is in the west not east. So what you are saying is true for almost all the apt blgds in that area or there is one particular building. Pease be specific about the area / building and come come up with a careful analysis. I have really worked my ass out to finalize this building, and don't want to lose it unless there are some real serious issues. Thanks
Hasni,
You had initially posted that you wanted a safe and an apartment with amenities for your family and now I see that you have chosen paisly apartments. Trust me. These are crap apartments which are only fit to live, when you come from a low job in India. The interior is musty and crumbling and lot of bed bugs are there.
Let me tell you 2 experiences there:
1. Desi (working for Kumaran software and on WP from India) got all his wife's jewels stolen. Neighbours daughter saw a black person come out of the door who was an insider, through the peephole. Entrance had a camera but security review saw no one.
2. Was walking below a balcony to see my friend. Some one threw a beer bottle from the 3 rd. floor and it fell near another person (unrelated) walking near to me and they both started shouting at each other.
Dude, It is an unsafe place for a family. (Seniors to advise me on this).
better place but with same budget would be to get an apartment near this place with access from Hurontario street (near Rabba and opp. food basics) Better place with all Gujju's.
You can also try mabelle avenue near Islington Subway.
Also better ones are apartments / basemenst near eglington and Huron, Mavis and Huron etc,,,

Hasni,
The area that you are talking about abound with Blacks. Of course, they are very good people but also there are a lot of bad elements, children from broken marriages, bad job oppertunities which make them undesirable. So be very careful in the Dundad -Hurontario area. you have to pick your apartment very carefully and also see that your apartment is furnished very barely. There might be a lot of stealing and schools may be rough as all these children from broken marriages of parents / drugs / bad job oppertunities all make the schools very bad. Then the whole point of you moving your family to a better country will go waste.
better to spend more money and live peacefully in Canada,
I used to live in Old Dundas road in an apartment. very peaceful. Fully white area. Of course we had blacks but they were very decent as they were a minority there. There is a river there with a park. Try the apartments there. I used to pay $ 775 in 2004. May be it is around $ 850 now.

Horrible picture, looks like its the worst place in whole Canada. Flora dale and Port Credit are the schools where my kids shall be going if I rented in the same area. Both are good ranking schools ! So where to go ! Believe me it is a very difficult equation for me to solve, my three kids require three different schools as per their age limits. And I can not afford a place where my wife has to walk more than 10 mins daily to pick and drops them. And it is also almost impossible that all become eligible for transportation. Though I can afford my eldest son to go by TTC to school, but other two have to be within 5 to 7 mins walk or they should be eligible for transportation. Then comes groceries, I want a place where my wife should not have to walk more than 10 mins to get the groceries. Now having an apartment where all these requirements are met is ver difficult. Paisley had all this but your views are so disappointing about the area ((
Lets see where I end up. Would appreciate if some seniors could also come up with useful suggestions. Thanks TK anyways.
What is your budget ?
If you could make up decent down payment, you could even consider buying a town house. Levi creek is a beautiful area covering Levi creek school which is well ranked and it falls under David Leeder for middle school and then a good high school
These town homes are sold for 380-390K. These town homes have 3 bedrooms (upper floor), living / Dining, kitchen in the main floor, entertainment room in the ground floor.
I guess, the mortgage could be around $1000 + maintenance ($250) + proptax $250.
You would end up in a better place, you own it than just rent and will have ample space for your family.
