I live in Chennai outskirts. These are the general expenses.

Hospitals are damn cheap even with Canadian type treatment. No need to be afraid of it.

Car - Rs 75 per litre. Insurance Rs 7K a year. Maintenance Rs. 10K a year (mAruthi)

Bus - Rs 7 min fare.

Auto - Share Auto / van Rs 15 to Rs20 for upto 10 kms.

Meat - Muttorn Rs 560 a KG, King Fish - Rs 800 a KG. Chickent - Rs 180 a KG

How is the POWERU Situation and the availability of (Verum) Pachai Thanni or is it 'Vellum'. I know the hotter season must have started in earnest and now to the next question Is there A/C there where you live? I knew only about the Cardboard on a stick. The cost of all the consumables seem to be par with Toronto or close enough to it.

Transportation is DARN Cheap. Petrol is way too expensive. I won't complain about anything if I get back to spend a few months a year and I love the IDDLIES, and I mean the fat ones with 2D's size! And I love the Vadas too.

Can you find a location where the Internet speeds are about 100 mbps with a steady state for doing some decent work and research? I will surely appreciate any feed back.

Check out SIPCOT Siruseri. It is Asia's largest tech park.

We have apartments near it from 30 lakhs to 1.5 crores(hiranandani).

No power cut due to rech park. Occasional ones we have generator.

Water is free. Sewage water we dimp into the sea.

Many internet networks like airtel, jio, hathway.

Summer is starting now. my current bill is Rs 3000 every 2 months. i use one ac on bedroom.

It is recession here. no jobs except in IT.

You are 100% correct and my rightful place should be close to a Financial Center that enables me to get to know a lot of the Knowledgeable people and the Industrialists close by. And with the advent of the High Speed Rail between Mumbai and Ahmadabad I am sure the distances will shrink all the more, as time progresses.

You can't escape seeing me or hide after that. Then, there are many more reasons. Only you will get to know them as to why and all of the reasons.

Is the world shrinking?

I don't want to hijack this thread. I still want it to be the OP's own and all I wanted was a little bit of Information about all of the latest developments and the Infrastructures that are made available to a Resident close by. I have to still do my spade work. And I know I will succeed anywhere, where there is brain power to get by.
