I rememeber these lines from a popular Pakistani play - Bakra Kishton pe " Jab koi janwar aadmi ko khaata hai to sab use 'darinda / adamkhor ' kehte hain aur sab use maarne mein jut jaate hain .... aur ek yeh aadmi sadiyon se jaanwaron ko maartaa chala aa raha hai... koi kuch nahin kehta "

fido: interesting quote. Its sad when a vicious dog bites a person/child and then has to be put down. Why arent the owners charged for psychological misuse/abuse of the dog?

You seems to be right sir, Human are also kept on earth by God so that we kill each other like Iran Iraq and Afghanistan. All terrorists and extremist are welcome. If so called human can kill and consume innocent animals/birds etc then these terrorist are most welcome on earth that kill others just for the sake of their own cause. IF it is a matter of taste then it is their taste/choice. Why so much hue and cry?

Can anyone of you who are against non-vegetarians tell me why it is not considered a crime by you guys when farmers cut down plants who breath and grow like human being and animals??

I know of a psycological reason which is very true, but would like to hear from persons like DPJ and MR specially.

So, it is a fundamental question: Are humans vegetarian or non-vegetarian?


Some points of thought:

1. Our stomach can not digest raw meat, the way lion can. So we need external means to make the meat eatable
2. We can easily eat any of the vegetable products in a raw form. It is true that we also cook them to make tasty, however we can eat them in a pure form.
3. Our teeth are not like those of Lions, at the same time they are also not like those of Cows.
4. In our old scripts (I am not sure Veda or Purana) Jivo Jivasya Jivanam, so it does not matter what you do, you will have to consume another living thing in order to survive, weather it is grass or meat.

So, where is the balance?
