Permanent address on passport

My permanent address in the passport is different from the original and i am wondering what address should i give for PCC verification

Would the consulate (indian) ask me for change in the passport if mention a different address for pcc verification purpose?

Any advice would be appreciated

I think it should not be an issue. Indian counsulate will first sent PCC request to the city where it has been issued. I dont think you will have issue with permanent address on passport.
