Hi,
The visitor visa for my aunt got rejected. I am sponsoring her complete trip. She does not have enough financial means. Here are the reasons that I got for rejection -
---------------------------------------------------------
Following an examination of your application, I am not satisfied that you application meets the requirements of
the Act and the Regulations for the reasons explained below. Please note that only the grounds that are checked
off apply to the refusal of your application.
- You have not satisfied me that you would leave Canada at the end of your stay as a temporary resident. In reaching this decision, I considered several factors, including:
- travel history
- Length of proposed stay in Canada
- Purpose of visit
- Current employment situation
- Personal assets and financial status
----------------------------------------------
I had included travel insurance, itinerary, notarized document declaring that I will cover all her expenses. She is married and has one adult son. She is travelling alone. I had applied for 6 months of visit. Should I reduce it to two months? I am not sure what else I can do when I reapply..
I am close to her and just want her to spend some time with my family here in canada. I have financial means to fully support her travel. Should I buy a return ticket for her?
The last two reasons mentioned are quite important. Basically a visa officer has to be satisfied that a person visiting Canada will go back at the end of their visit. It makes a good case if the person who is visiting is working in their home country, has fixed deposits, has property, etc. If they do not have anything, it becomes difficult to satisfy visa officer that they will go back.

hi all
I applied super visa for my mother in last year sept with upfront Medicaid. She got it approved in 3 days without any issues. At that time her passport was valid until July 2015, so they gave her visa until May 2015. Once she is in here we got her passport renewed in Brampton Indian high commission in jan 2015 for 10 years. I applied for her extension of stay here in Canada in April 2015 and the extension was given until 2017 August. As she had some important work she went to India last month and we applied with her new passport for super visa stamping to come back to Canada. After 10 days now they are asking again for medicals and proof of relation with me. I don't have birth certificate. But I submitted copy of my passport which has her name as my mother. Last time also I did the same. But this time they are asking for more. Is there anything else I can send as proof of my relation with my mother other than birth certificate.
Some one said I write an affidavit that she is my mom and get it notarized with lawyer. Is this fine? Please let me know. Your reply is much appreciated.
Thank u
Sirisha.
