Hi ,

Pls advise of recommended places to get transmission problems fixed on Honda Accord [ other than going to the dealer].

Dealer just replaces current transmission with a refurbished one and they charge close to $4000 for that.

Heard places like Mister Transmission would actually rebuilt ur current transmission at much lower cost.
But have no experience dealing with any transmission related people.

Pls advise and indicate ur experiences as well.

All their web site links have been 'moved to the end of the line' by some of the search engines and I found hard to locate their links.

I have not used them. But I have heard of purchases from them. They are brought in from Japan. How good are they depends upon their warranty back up. So, please be guided by this. (Minimum one year) Get a good flush and refill after a weeks run. Include this in the work order.

I know how you feel when you are cut off your daily commute.
