Want to replace all builder installed toilets (4 of them) with newer water conserving ones. Confused with so many options available and looking for some advise!
also want to know roughly how much a plumber will charge/hr?
Generally, a builder buys the Bathroom fittings all in a set. Such as the Sink, the Tub and the Toilet and they all are a matching set, colour, grade and quality that it deserved. Those days, quantity of water that got used by people living in that house was not considered too expensive. But currently it is getting metered and gets charged by the quantity used and we are saving as much as we can and conserve it and economize the expenses.
As recently as an year ago, the Gas Utilities were giving away for FREE a shower head and a few foam insulation rolls for 1/2 inch copper pipes and currently on the markets I do see some of the latest 'FLUSH' fittings that are RETRO Fittings, which seem to work seamlessly with all of the toilets that are in use in the market. They are well designed and functions well and also meets with the current economic situation that we are in.
Please go through the links and make your own decision about its usefulness.
But, if you were to change all of the toilets, for any reason, you will still need these newer "FLUSH"es all the same. The TOILET may not match the Sink or the Tub. You will have to work all of the logistics before you uproot them. You be the judge of the same. Also the cost will be prohibitive when you enter into larger quantities, such as FOUR, in
your case.
The decision is yours.
Good Luck.
