Hello All,
My brother in law is Ayurvedic Doctor (B.A.M.S.) back home in India. He has filed for Express Entry in NOC 3232 Natural Healers. His points aren't enough 380 or so l believe. (IELTS he is getting 7 bands in all. He is preparing to give more IELTs to increase his points). He has visitors visa and has been to Canada twice for visit.
He is Brahmin by birth (and is on legal papers as well) and has been performing pooja ritual at a temple (morning and evening ritual) for past 15 years and owns his personal clinic where he practices his Ayurvedic medicines and panchkarma. He is fluent in Sanskrit and performs all kind of puja's as well. During his last visit, one of the temples had him for visitation and lecture. They want to now sponsor him on work visa as a priest. He has experience letter from Indian temple's board of directors and recommendation from fellow pundits about his work.
Can he come over as priest on work visa in short term?
His express entry file does not mention anything about his priest experience but this can be updated anytime online, is it ok to do so? His file was submitted in April 2018.
Can he add another NOC on his express entry profile for priest category as well?
Any and all help and suggestion would be greatly appreciated
Thank you
Without having a good score of 442 the current entry benchmark score, your relative stands a very slim chance of entry. You both know this already.
As regards work permit to get into Canada you can help anyone with a PNP a Provincial Nominee Program and with support from your end you can see some good results. How successful they will be depends upon their skills and knowledge of other Professions and Hobbies that they can conduct and prosper by themselves here in Canada, comes in handy. You will need a few good connections and additional help in those fields.
In your Relatives case it will be duties of a Priest and the openings here near by. Since he has visited you and explored the same before he should know how well he can manage himself here should be his look out. A few Priests who have memorized all of the Slokas in Sanskrit fare a lot better. They have to work a lot harder after landing here. So you be the guide. Now, are you willing to Assist him with a PNP support? If so see if that route is your choice. The burden will be upon you.
Good Luck.
FH.
