Hi all.
when i came to canada on student visa in september 2003 i had shown that i have worked in my fathers firm for may 2000 to july 2003 as part time; but my income tax return had no income from my fathers business.
a. Now what job profile should i show so as to gain points for 3 yrs full time employement during the time of my graduation.
b. I had my college from 6:15 am - 10:00 a.m and i also have a letter from my college stating that ; It was a 3 year full time B.com course now i am trying to show that i was working in my business from 11:00 a.m - 8:00 p.m ; will i be awarded points for this as full time.
c.As Salary is required for a employer employee relationship can i show that my business had paid fees for my various courses ;included college fees in lieu of my services(as i have not shown any income in my tax return) whereas the expenses for my education and some of the courses that i have done are there in my dad's business tax return.
I am on post graduate work permit ; what i would like to know is how to gain 15 points for arranged employement .

a) whatever job you performed
b) always tricky. CHC will look at it with suspicion for obvious reasons. if they determine you are misrepresenting your work history, your immigration prospects will be grim. However, if you genuinely worked and it can be verified, then u have nothing to worry about.
c) paying for your school fees CANNOT be equated with salary.
PLEASE TRY NOT TO MISLEAD CHC. THEY ARE VERY AWARE OF FAMILY BUSINESSES AND SCHOOL HOURS IN INDIA.

Sir
My college timings are easily verifiable and they are true so i dont have any problems with it and i also have a letter stating the same from the vice principal of my college.
I have actually worked in my family business and so my scenerio is entirely genuine. All i m not sure abt is how to put it on forms which sounds technically true.
I am not sure how can one verify the working hours ; My shop actually opens from 10 am till 9 pm and i am trying to show my working hrs as 11am to 8 pm and for job responsibilities ; It is a small family business and i never had any designation nor specific job profile ; I was invoived in Totality and with all aspect of the operations of my business which includes Payment collection ; Sales of merchendise ; accounting work ; organising trade fairs etc now i am not sure which aspects should i show to gain points for these years of work experience.
What should be my best bet since my IT return does not have any income as a salary and as per CHC the defination for Work is where money is received as salary or commision.
I am currently on work permit (wef 16 july 2004 till 15 july 2005 ) how should i go abt getting 15 points for arranged employement.

if it's genuine, you'll be ok. You'll have to explain the remuneration method though. ... whether it was commission or some other form of payment [not school fees]. It doesn't have to be absolutely supported by ITax papers because not everyone pays tax in India.
good luck!

Sir
I have filed my IT returns for the year since i was 18 and ALL i have shown is intrest income and these IT returns were also submitted to CIC when i had come for student visa and when i had applied for work permit.
If i show that i worked without payment then employer employee relationship is not established; how should i go about it.
What should i show my job profile since i never had any designation during my working years and it was obviously an informal setup. What points should i keep in mind to gain the points for experience as this experience was with my B.com
Thanking you
Nishit
