Guys and gals, this party appears to be like no other as per my discussions with Chopraji. We are all grateful to him to be spending so much of his precious time in taking care of the minutest of details.

The only sad part is that the capacity is limited to a max of 60-65 desis.

No Sonia, he is neither on vacation, nor the party is cancelled. He is trying to talk to each participant personally and is busy fixing menu and program (I know this since we discussed this for an hour almost). We have also decided what you should bring in case you decide to come at the last moment.

So guys, the party is very much on - and subject to confirmation from Pramodji, it is starting at 12.30pm on 14th.

Sorry Guys for being a little late in posting this on the forum.

Neither the party is cancelled nor am I on vacation (I wish) but some one said once, ‘Aur bhee gum hein jamane mein CD ke siva.’ Any ways jokes apart, I have discussed the program and menu with some senior members and we all have arrived at this conclusion as this is a CD family get together every participating member (family) should share the responsibility to make this a success by showing in time with one of their favourite dish for 10-15 people and some snacks etc.

So here is the program (on similar lines as suggested by VJ, our enthusiastic member from India).

Gathering at my place: 12.30 P.M. (address and location posted earlier)

Meet and greet other members, self-introduction and to know more about each other.

Lunch: 1.30 P.M. onwards.

After lunch is over then we can take impromptu suggestions from members regarding playing any games (like Antakshari or Tambola) etc. There could also be some games for the children or their singing or dance competition etc. Any member has any interesting story to share with other members or want to sing etc. would be more than welcome. Our own Radio Hosts Sanjeev Manocha and Sonia ji (if we are lucky to have her presence) would be taking on to the mike and entertaining us.

Most of the members have confirmed their presence (45 so far) to be here on 14th Nov and agreed to bring one dish and a snack item or disposable crockery etc. Others who have not committed for bringing any thing so far please call me at 416-560-6951 and confirm what would they like to bring so that we can distribute this to every one evenly. Once I talk to each one and get confirmation about their presence and the responsibility they are going to shoulder, I will post it here.

Please note that due to some fire regulations we can not go over 60 people and if some one is not going to make it, please let me know in advance so that his/her place could be given to other member. Also, we would have to arrange for chairs as the hall only has 30 chairs. I would love to here from some members who have either folding or plastic chairs which can be brought easily in their Van/Car etc.
