Does anybody in Scarborough suggest good place to get video transfered from NTSC to PAL(India VHS).
dont know any place in scarborough ...but i tried "house of 220v" on Gerrard street for conversions and it worked well.
It is on the north side a little further east from Moti mahal restaurant .

I wonder how unfortunate you are MI that you have not seen the haggling of similar kind with and between whites like russians, polish, english, israelis (can't say canadians since i have never had a chance to deal with inuits or metis!) and so you call it indian ishtyle haggling.
Closeness breeds contempt - and that is what is the result of some Indians who have got chance to see the inner life of only indians - they have not had the opportunity to be really friendly and open with persons with other nationalities. This forces them to feel that only Indians can do the bad things in this world!
Isn't it a pity that many Indians can never miss a chance to criticize other desis, however suttle it may be - even when they are out of India - where they should unite like brothers even if the other desi was actually wrong.
I think it is high time we desis take an oath that we will never make fun of Indian habits/deeds specially when out of India, or when faced with non-Indians.

I am not making fun of others ...i was making fun of "MYSELF" that I am a haggler !!! ...and i have fun haggling when i am on gerrard street .... but you didnt get it!! and probably wont ...
I make fun of myself most of the times ...my bihari ishtyle name for starters .....do you ever crack jokes?...bihari, bongali , surd jokes ....or have you taken an oath not to crack indian jokes.

Almost all Indian Grocery stores do that - A1, Patel, Mirch Masala etc.
Good or Bad I don't know.
They charge only $10 (That is what 3 years back, now also it should be same)
