I am very new to this group and frankly i haven't seen any articles posted in this group.

I am planning to move to canada by Nov 1st week, i am expecting my visa and landing papers by oct 1st week.

My query is that, i am planning to get married in march 2005, i got engaged to a hyd girl.

Now, if i move to canada, then how can i bring my wife to canada, in which category i should apply visa for her.

how much time it takes.

My friend is also in a same position, but he is married last week and he got visa and he has ready to inform the CHC abt his marriage.

So, please help me out in clearing my doubts.

Once you are here, you can sponsor her under the Spouse category. It takes about 4-6 mos. currently.

For details, use the SEARCH IN CHARCHA feature and search for "spouse sponsorship" or something similar.

In some places in the search area i found that the process is taking more than one year for spouse category.

Is this true ?

If i want to bring my wife immediately, then can i apply for visit visa , then after comming to canada , can i apply for her PR
