We got my immigration in september 2004 and did landing in apr 2005, we got PR in may 2005 and returned to india for my wife delivery. We are blessed with two kids, born after we got our PR. I am planning for permanent move in november 2007. Can u please advice how can I get my children with me... so that I can sponsor them after i arrive.
Recenctly i applied for visitor visa but officer rejected on the grounds of no proof of returning back to india for two years old child.
Can anyone tell how to bring children with me.
Prashanth
Hi Prashant !
This information is comletely based on what I heard from other people .
1. If you are not a CITIZEN than kids born outside the country DONOT become citizen automatically .
2. If you are a PR and your kids were born outside Canada than you have to "SPONSOR" your kids .
Best of luck and wish that family gets together asap once you land here ..

He is PR of canada , not the child. So he applied visitor visa for his kid. which was rejected....
Prashant,
I was in a simialr situation, and had applied for my son's visit visa in Abu Dhabi. The Embassy rejected the visa, but gave a list of oducments they needed.
What they want to ensure is that the whole failiy is going for good to Canada. You should provide doucments such as;
a) Air tickets for full family
b) Your resignation letter accpeted by the COmpany where youa re currenlty working
c) Cargo - Bill of lading, if you are brining in stuff here.
I know a ocuple of other people from Gulf, who went thru this, and had visit visas done for their children born outside Canada.
good luck,
gforacle
Prashanth, you will have to sponsor the kids under family class.
