Yo! Charlie,
Don’t decrease my productivity by making me to write here to educate you. I can see your grasping power from the previous argument you had with me without any facts and figures.
I am not your mother or father that I’ve to educate you at this time or in future if I don’t want to.
Hi All,
After searching this forum I found a little bit of information from the following links for what I am looking for.

I came to Canada on Student permit and later changed to Post graduation workpermit. Recently I applied for exteding my workpermit but got the refusal letter saying I need HRDC approval. My permit will expire on May 4th and now I am in confusion of how I can maintain my status.
I applied for my PR in July 2005 and according to CIC website it may take at least one more year or even more.
Can any one suggest me the options I have available. I am assuming it would be difficult to get study permit as it may give wrong intention.
From some of the posts here it seems applying for Visitor visa is another option. If I get visitor visa for 6 more months it will atleast give me a chance to apply for US work visa. What is the procedure for applying visitor visa? Do I have to apply to Alberta or outside of Canada?
I started my job on May 28th last year and accrding to my contrcat I have to work till May 28th this year. But in this situation I have to give notice on April 15th. And also its going to be very difficult even to leave country immediately after finishing the job. How can any one deal with this situation?
You were on PGWP and you applied for extension of your work visa without HRDC approval ?????
It it not possible as PGWP is maximum allowed for 12 MONTHS..
I would prefer to go for HRDC approval if my employer is ready to help me... because he is the one who get HRDC approval for me (NOT ME)
The procedure for visitor visa extension is same as what you do for work visa extensio or student visa extension.
GOOD LUCK
Okay, So from what I gather, a 2 year post grad work permit is better then a 1 year work permit. Winnipeg here I come.Lol.

Trying to be someone else is a waste of the person you are®--Kurt Cobain.
One option that i can think of was Working holiday visa maker in UK for now and hope that in canada Processing is implemented in 2007 so that we dont have to discuss this topic.

hey guys,
i have gone through the posts and i have the same problem. but it looks like i am already late for most solutions. I graduated from a 4year bachelors from univeristy of windsor june 2005. August 30 2005 i got my PGWP for one year as my job was in Toronto and so it epires next month on 30 Aug 2006. I have not applied for immigration coz i didnt have the required points. now i have a work permit that expires in a month and a half and no idea of how to work around this situation. I have started to look for a job where I can get my HRSDC done but i have a major time factor problem. I dont mind taking the visitors visa or the student permit. all this was the background info.
here are the specific questions.
Student Permit:
Do i have to enroll in another program or can i just file returning student application at the university, register for some courses and get my student visa?
what is the time frame to get a student visa, where do i have to send it, is there a quicker way and what are the chances of it getting approved?
Visitors Visa:
Basically same questions.. on what basis do i apply, where and whats the time frame like, and what are the chances ?
