Dear friend,
How long did it take after your medicals to get your visa's?
From which country did you apply from?
Why do you do not want to land in Toronto.instead selected Vancouver?

Hi June,
Thanks for your enquiry. Our story is a bit strange. In 2001, we were getting calls from *****, an immigration services company in Canada, about how nice and wonderful it will be to immigrate to Canada. At that time,we had no intention of applying for Canadian Immigration. Anyway, we fell for their talks, paid US$1800/(how dumb we were), and retained their services. After sending the forms with the required application fees in November 2001, ***** did not file our papers till April 2002.
We asked for our money and they refused to repay. So, we stopped payment for the Cashier's check(Application Fees). We forgot all about Canadian Immigration and went on with our lives. Then in august 2002, we received a copy of the letter sent by the Canadian consulate requesting a new cashier's check. So, we got a new one and sent it. Remember, every correspondence has to be done through ***** only.We received acknowledgement in November 2002.
Then again we received a letter from ***** that our application has to be resubmitted(God only knows what and why?) and they demanded US$900/ more.Anytime you call *****, nobody will give you any proper reply as to why the need for more money. We got fed up and decided to forget once again about Canadian Immigration. In the meantime, we had moved to another state in US.Then in August 2003, we received information that our file has been transferred to LA and we have to attend interview. Then in the beginning of April 2004, we received our letter for May2004 interview.( the ***** took more than 2 weeks to send the interview letter after they received it ).
We did our medicals in April 2004. Did our finger printing for California and FBI.My husband's FBI fingerprinting came back as \"Unreadable\". So, again we took his fingerprinting and sent them.It caused some delay.
We could get our Indian PCC from SFO, as our passports were issued here.
The interview went on well and the officer told, that my husband was getting 76 marks .But as per rule he had to write the IELTS.
(Though he holds BE and MBA degrees).
He wrote the exam.
By July 15, 2004 we submitted all the documents.
Then again we moved to another State in US.
Finally, we received passport request in September 2004. We sent the passports in prepaid USPS Overnite Express Deivery and got the passports in 13 days.
And, here we are planning our move to Canada.
So, actually, I have no idea how much will be the real time , if one applies from US.
