Sattoo, as I know it, started in olden times by travellers who would leave their homes for a faraway place in search of work/business or any other personal matter. In places like Rajathan, where it has always been a desert, there was no way of being able to find food, let alone cook it. therefore, the travellers used to take with them Sattoo - which was originally a mixture of atta (of wheat or chana), sugar and at times Ghee. Ghee was used to bind atta and sugar and provide nutrients to body, while sugar was to provide instant energy.

I once made a mistake, but I was wrong about it.
Guys , in the past few weeks threads like
"any Kishore kumar fans" ..."sattoo"...."music of our times" just makes one realize how closely conected we are .
We may differ over so many other topics but when it comes to very simple and basic passions of life we are all the same, and get our pleasure from such simple commonalities in our lives.
Isint it great to share it and enjoy these wonderful memories together .
I feel great .......and just wanted to share the same with you all .

What can be imagined, can be achieved.
These 'angrej' have cheese and wine parties which is really enjoyable - how about having a Satto and say jaljeera/aam ka panna/shikanji party! Might just turn out to be a real great thing - and if not that - something to remember atleast!
