I am sending my daughter back home, My wife and I will be staying here at Canada. We all PR of Canada. I am currently getting CTB every month. Now my doubt is should I continue CTB once my daughter leaves this country?
I have seen many people and many suggested me to continue with it. But I am sceptical as it is not as per the law.
If I continue Does it have any implications on PR status or at the time of applying for citizenship?

If I want to discontinue, how should I inform to stop the CTB? In that case do I need to return back any money back to government?

Please advise.

IT is on your luck if they inquire and they come to know about the fact they may ask the amount back may be with intrest but in most of the cases they dont bother about it..so go ahead keep collecting..

Thanks interceptor. Let me know if you are aware of what interest they charge in case of returning the money.

Before you go down this route you need to check if there are any criminal penalties in force - normally there are since this would be considered a benefit fraud.
