it takes 3.5 to 4 years in case child sponsor's his/her parents. Atleast thats what canadian govt sites mention.

Add two time frame that will give you expected time frame.
The processing in CPC Mississauga is stuck on "24 June 2003" for last 6 months. Every month they increase the waiting time by one more month. I believe the Govt doesn't want parents to come here anymore. In that case they should stop accepting the cases.
But there is catch also, application filing generates income also, so why would they stop. LOL !!!!
I heard that from one immigration consultant on a radio program that they get some court order and they can bring your parents to Canada in 1 year. After you file sponsorship papers they file an appeal in court and court will direct immigration authorities to process the case within the time period specified by the court.
This immigration consultant already has a bad press in Canadiandesi.

There is nothing funny in asking Q if you are not aware of the answer.
By viewing CAIPS you will be able to know where is the process.
For example the file sometime is moved on a date for review . It says BFD to XXX to Dec 15,2004. That means the file will be reviewed by immigration officer on Dec 15,2004 for further decisions.
On Dec 15,2004 it is likely the Immig Officer moves the review date to Mar 15 ,2005. The file will say BFD to XXX to March 15,2005.
So there is nothing to think about it as there will be no process till March 15,2005.
