I am learning....(though you can tell that I have more invested in the instruments than i have talent). Its been a few years. No i dont have a band now simply because I am not proficient enough (Keeping in time and all that shit). But i am making progress. down the road and At the end of it all I want to be able to say I can play. Thats my goal. Even then I would say its a hobby.
BTW, Bands really dont make a lot of dough until much later on when they start playing regularly in a club or if in the event of being picked up by a record label. till then they slug it out in small bars with about 10 people waching and have to do the \"odd\" jobs to be able to survive. Remarkably Some bands (especially one hit wonders) who start like that end up at the same place (working in Mcdonalds) since by the time the record companies are done with them they have virtually no other Qualification to bank on.
The Whole thing is not as glamorous as it sounds but its fun none the less.
Its also very competetive as Good Guitar players are a dime a dozen in north America.

I am also from Delhi. Now the traffic of Delhi has been also reduced due to starting of Metro.

Delhi has improve lot in terms of Air quality & road. But this improvement is only relative term. It is no way compare to western world. Still you will find rush in roads. Actually the number of cars & trucks have rise exponentially in last 3-4 years. Metro still cover very less part of Delhi. On diwali weekend while driving from Gurgaon to chandigarh. It takes me 7 hours. Out of that 3 hours only in getting out of Delhi. Such heavy rush. Also I find that the top speed of car have reduced from say 100 to 120 km/ per hour to just 80-90 km per hour while driving on NH 1 with in last 3 years.
As such people have stop going to delhi haat or CP area. Rather people prefer to go to shopping malls in gurgoan. A typical weekend for family involve going to mall in the afternoon. Kids play while parents do shopping. kids went to see some Hollywood movie & parents go for Bollywood movie in 7 theaters cinema. In the evening all went to some Chinese restaurant.. Then time to come back home.
