Is it easier to apply for jobs before coming to Canada and then once in canada to apply for a PR?

I was thinking of securing a job before coming to Canada and then once in the country to apply for a PR. Would appreciat feedback from anyone pertaining to this matter.

That is a good idea, but depends on your field and your skill level.
There are a lot of people who get work permits and come to Canada to work.
However, a lot of people have also found that it is difficult to attract employers if you are not actually living in Canada.
With Canadian employers, sometimes if you are living in a different city, they don't show much interest.
It all depends on your field and how unique your skills are.

I actually have a Bachelor of Business Administration (Honours) from the United Kingdom but don't if my qualifications are recognised in Canada but anyway will definetely start my process of looking for jobs.

Does sites like Workopolis.com or monster.com helps for securing jobs from outside Canada. Can anybody tell me what is sucess rate for applying jibs from outside Canada???

It is not impossible but pretty difficult to get a job when you are outside canada as you are not physically available for the interview and the company cannot assess you much .

hey, Well my question is industry specific but I dont wanne break the thread..I am currently living in India, what r my prospects of getting a job in the area of product/industrial design if I apply from outside of Canada ? Also, websites like monster and workopolis don't have job listings for this profession..i think! and I've also read on this site that chances of getting a job after u list ur resume on job sites is not a lot either. What do I do then? Other than that..though i know this is completely irrelavant..BUT HELLO? IS THERE CANADA BEYOND TORONTO? I mean..dont ppl. ever move to BC or Alberta?..weird :-S
