we all agree that supply and demand issue. but the immigration dept should think twise before they take new immigrants... other wise too many people un employed in canada, and new peopl are comming from diffrent parts of world with diffrent exp.....it looks very unfair...

Share the same kind of responses as jughead.

Also applying from NJ. Landing process complete and would be moving in a couple of months...job or no job.

But based on my discussions with a few Recruiters from Vancouver and Toronto...in my opinion, it would make a huge difference to be present locally when applying as would be the skills and skill level.

Why would a company in canada recruit some body who is not in country as compared to people available locally ?

Think practically and then decide ...

Has the immigration dept promising jobs to all new immigrants? I think not. They may provide (?) some statistics on jobs in demand. It is the responsibility of the potential immigrant to decide what to do.

Sitting outside the country and cribbing abt not getting response from potential employers is immture.

I do agree with you Desi Ottawa ,

all people they think they are very meture when things are going o.k in their favor...

but.. when canda says it is looking for Skilled workers..

for what purpose..

for just landing there and looking for a survival job or what....

I dont ask Canadian Govt. to provide me a job on the day i land.

I would say they should look at the attitude of candaian employers,

who only wants canada experience.

hope you got my point...
