I am approached by a company in US to work for them either at Cayman Island or Bermuda.
Can anyonehelp me in finding whether these places are worth to go and work.
How much is cost of living?
I can't answer you in specific terms - but if I were you, I would love to go for a short stint. Nice money (tax free), rich people to meet, great beaches and lots of fun!
Ask them if they want a finance professional with experience in international finance and offshore structuring for Big Groups - I have done that a lot! But......from the other side of the table - as a client, not as a banker.

Cost of Living is very high in Bermuda. Rental is prohibitively expensive. I did some research couple of months ago as a Bermuda company offered me a contract. After investigation, I realized that I need at least 20% above (in US$) what I can get for the same work here (in CAD). If you can get CAD 50K for same work here, you need US$60K+ in Bermuda.
These places are nice for vacation but horrible to live.

Thanks, I believe I need to do some research before taking a decision. It does not make sense to go a place where you end up paying that you earned.
Cost of living is too costly there. I had to decline an offer due to expenseive living cost.

I am sure that it cannot be more than your earnings - so that you have to shell out from your pocket there.
If that be the case, why not treat it as a special project - live like the rich and famous (and with them) for 2-3 years of your life and then come back. After all 'savings' in not everything in life. In my view, it is good to have lived for a short while like rich do and not save anything, rather than keep striving (or dreaming) of living like them!
