I am trying for jobs in the USA. Quite often the employers are not aware about the fact that TN Visa are easy to get. Infact I lost one job just because the HR manager not convinced that a person from Canada can come and work so easily!

What should be the best approach to handle such situation?

Second question - If I need to go to USA for interview, is it ok to tell the immigration office that I am going for an interview?

Really surprising to me ...I believe most of American companies are very much aware of NAFTA rule and TN visa like stuffs because good percentage of American workforce is fed via Canada and Mexico.

If you are a Canadain Citizen you don't need a visa to visit USA for interview ..correct?So you don't really need to specify about the interview to POE officers.
