(Note to anyone who plans to pounce on me for saying something about desis : Its A Joke!).One of my favorite movies of all time is OfficeSpace. This question goes around in the movie. There's a scene where a construction worker asks the protagonist Peter who's sick of his boring job and life "What would you do if you had a million dollars?"
And Peter goes "I'd do absolutely nothing. I'd just sit around all day and do nothing at all."
And the construction guy's like "Man, you don't need a million bucks to do nuthin'. My cousin, he broke, don't do s**t!"
And everybody basically gives replies that amount to either doing nothing or playing out their fantasies.
Then they ask this desi programmer the question (Ajay Naidu). And the reply is
"I'd invest half the money in stocks and the other half I'd give to my cousin who works in mutual funds"
They explain to him that the point of the question is to figure out what your "real" interest in life is. So you should be doing right now what you'd do if you had a million dollars. The desi guy is not impressed though.
Another scene. Peter who're dead bored of his job is sitting in a cafe with this desi guy and another programmer. He's just had a crappy morning at work and goes "Man, what if we're doing this 20 years from now?"
The desi guy's like "Oh...it would be nice to have that kind of job security!"
